Before travelling to New Zealand, you need to make sure your passport is valid for at least three months longer than your expected departure date. If you come from a country that needs a New Zealand visa to enter, please be sure to apply in advance.

From 1 October 2019, visitors from visa-waiver countries this includes France, Spain and Italy must request an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) prior to coming to New Zealand.

Fastest one-stop flight between Christchurch and Paris takes close to 31 hours. Waiting time at intermediate airports could be anywhere between 1 hour to 22 hours.

Air New Zealand has direct flights from San Francisco, LA, and Houston into Auckland which is an overnight 12-hour flight. They also have direct flights from Chicago to Auckland which is an overnight 16-hour flight. Flight time from Auckland to Christchurch is 1 hour 25 minutes. Distance from Auckland to Christchurch is approximately 740 kilometers.

Upon request Herault Safaris will collect and drop you off at Christchurch International Airport and drive you to the lodge, in comfortable 4WD vehicle. We will also drive you into the estate and around the estate and upon request arrange a helicopter flight.

Next you will be driven 1 hour 45 minutes to your chosen accommodation, which is located a 45-minute drive from the Safari Park or a 15-minute helicopter flight.
